Research Center of Information and Communication Technology (ICT Centre), established through the project REGPOT Fore-Mont, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics (BIO-ICT), under the auspices of the University of Montenegro, organizes a competition for the best innovative ideas in the field of ICT, which will be held on 25 and 26 May 2016 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro.

The Research Centre for ICT (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro) in cooperation with the Centre for TeleInfrastruktur South-Eastern Europe, in the frame of the EU funded project "Fostering Innovation Based Research for e‐Montenegro" (Fore-Mont), organizes the regional ICT conference “ICT SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS AND THEIR SOCIETAL IMPACTS”.

The 2015 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) will be held in London, UK from 8-12 June. Themed “Smart City & Smart World,” with its proximity to London’s Tech City, the fastest growing technology cluster in Europe, this flagship conference of IEEE Communications Society will feature a comprehensive technical program including twelve Symposia and a number of Tutorials and Workshops.

The team of the researchers from the Research Centre for ICT represented by Igor Radunovic and Nikola Zaric presented the idea Smart Agrobusiness foodmarket4.me at the 1st International Workshop on Innovation and Entrepreneurship held on 11-12th May 2015 in Aalborg, Denmark. Among numerous submitted proposals, the idea is firstly selected for semifinal competition and presentation at the workshop.

The 3rd Fore-Mont Advisory Board meeting will be held on May 5 - 7, 2015, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The meeting is part of the regular and planned activities of the Fore-Mont plan and will gather representatives from the EU project partners, collaborating partners and the project participants from the Faculty.

Research Center for Info-Communication Technologies has become member of European Alliance for Innovation.

The presentation of visiting researchers within Fore-Mont project Miran Mosmondor and Andrej Grguric from Ericson Nikola Tesla, Zagreb will be held on Thursday 12th 2015 at 15:30h at New Research Center for ICT.

The second internal training "Cognitive and sensor networks for smart applications" will be held at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro from 9th to 11th March 2015

The Fore-Mont Special Session: Future Internet Technologies for e-Society will be organized in the frame of the 22nd IEEE Conference TELFOR, in Belgrade, Serbia. Participants of the Session will be speakers Prof. Peter Van Daele from iMINDS, Ghent (Belgium) and Prof. Octavian Fratu from University Politehnica of Bucharest, as well as Fore-Mont researchers and other TELFOR attendees.

Montenegrin Foreign Investors Council (MFIC) is an association of leading foreign investors in Montenegro established as non-government and non-profit organization whose members represent various commercial sectors such as banking and financial sector, sector of telecommunications, tourism and hotel management, consumer goods and manufacturing sector, as well as auditing and transport sector. This year, within their annual activities MFIC has started the first Program of cooperation with Universities that aims to contribute to education.

Research Centre for ICT (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro) organizes  this year’s WECT on “Green Info-Communication Solutions” in the frame of the project “Fostering Innovation Based Research for e-Montenegro” (Fore-Mont) which received funding from the EU’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration. Workshop will be organized in Budva.

Fore-Mont project will participate in the 3rd IEEE Mediterranean Conference on Embedded Computing (MECO 2014) to be held in Budva, Montenegro from 15th to 19th June 2014. The event will be used to raise the visibility of the project at this prestigious international event that is annually held in Montenegro.

Faculty of Electrical Engineering (University of Montenegro) announces a public event, 1st Fore-Mont Research Open Day. Faculty will showcase the opening of its new laboratory and marking the establishment of the new research centre for ICT. The lab has been equipped via the Fore-Mont EU project funds, marking the new direction of the applied ICT research at the University via the Research Centre for ICT as a major tool in the implementation of the Fore-Mont project.

Fore-Mont project will have its 2nd Advisory Board meeting on 26th to 28th of May 2014 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Montenegro. The meeting is part of the regular and planned activities of the Fore-Mont plan and will gather representatives from the EU project partners, collaborating partners and the project participants from the Faculty.

Members of the Fore-Mont project will participate in the Global Wireless Summit 2014 that will gather 4 major conferences and wide range of professionals across the world. Fore-Mont participation will include presentations of the three accepted paper in the Summit, plus, a special expo booth presentation of the Fore-Mont project to summit participants.

Deutsche Telekom has, for the second year in a row, announced the global competition for innovation. Organizers of the project are the Telekom laboratory for innovation, business incubators Hubraum from Berlin, Krakow and Tel Aviv, Kitchen Budapest, as well as member companies of the Deutsche Telekom group. Within the Fore-Mont project activities, a presentation of the competition will be organized at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Podgorica, on Thursday 13th March (Svečana sala, starting at 15:00h).

Workshop MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT was held within IT'2014 at Zabljak, and it was divided into two parts. The first part (Slobodan Đukanović, PhD) is the presentation on actual trends in developing mobile applications, namely native and cross-platform programming. In the second part (Stefan Vujović, MSc, and Nikola Bulatović, Spec. Sci.), a simple Android application was developed, in order to demonstrate the basic principles of Android programming and communication with remote server.

Presentation of the Fore-Mont project has been given during opening ceremony of  the XIX Scientific Conference Information Technologies - IT 2014. IT 2014 is one of the leading regional conferences in Information Technologies. It is held on 24-28 February 2014, in Žabljak, Montenegro.

Presentation of the Fore-Mont project has been performed within ceremony related to "Marking anniversary of the opening and provisional closure of Chapter 25-SCIENCE AND RESEARCH" organized by Ministry of Science of Montenegro.

The first internal training “Implementation of programable telecommunications devices” will be held in Podgorica (Montenegro), at the ceremonial hall of Technical Faculties, Cetinjska 2, during 30th October-1st November 2013. The speakers will be Zoran Čiča (Serbia), Vladimir Poučki (Slovenia, Germany), and Christoforos Kachris (Greece). 30 researchers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (University of Montenegro) and industry will attend the training.

Kick-off meeting for the Fore-Mont project will take place in Rectorate Building of the University of Montenegro, Cetinjska 2, 81000 Podgorica, Montenegro
